Casco Viejo is located on Plaza Villatoya, in the historic old town of Talavera de la Reina. Right in the heart of the old quarter, a short walk from Plaza del Pan, the Ruiz de Luna Museum, and La Corredera.
It's the liveliest area to eat in the city, and if you want to see why, you'll find the full story in our guide to where to eat in Talavera de la Reina.
Casco Viejo is about enjoying good company, no fuss, savoring the good stuff. That's exactly what the venue is: a comfortable, good-looking place to enjoy, so you feel at home right in the historic center of Talavera de la Reina.
We have a long bar with high stools for a quick bite and an unhurried beer or wine, and a dining room with comfortable tables and chairs if you'd rather eat without rushing. Plenty to drink too — wine, classic beer, and craft beer.
We're also a great option for groups! We have a bar area and dining room to arrange large tables without any trouble, just give us a bit of notice if there are many of you.
We've always been an active part of Talavera's social life. We've hosted concerts, exhibitions, wine and cheese tastings... Since 2026 we've been running Jueves de Casco Viejo (Thursdays at Casco Viejo), with a different plan every week: live music, tastings, or special dishes. Want to find out what we've got planned for this week? check out our Instagram. More info here.
And if breakfast or trying Miguel's tortilla is more your thing, we've got dedicated pages on where to have breakfast in Talavera and on the best tortilla de patatas in the city.
